AOYE Group Scholarships – Western Sydney University

In partnership with Western Sydney University, AOYE Group sponsors a series of undergraduate scholarships for students from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds, particularly in the School of Computer, Data and Mathematical Sciences.

This initiative was launched through, doubling the long-term impact of the scholarship. It reflects a shared vision: that education should never be limited by circumstance.

Sandra Li’s contribution was honoured as a leadership gift at the University’s Town & Gown Gala, followed by a private plaque presentation hosted by senior university leaders. Our ongoing engagement includes connecting with scholars and supporting future-focused events such as those hosted by the Institute for Australia and Chinese Arts and Culture.

Connecting Communities Through Sport & Education

Australian Family Sports Day & Sino-Australian Education Elite Exchange Gala – Guangzhou

AOYE Group proudly sponsored this signature event in Guangzhou, which brought together families, educators and youth to promote cultural connection through sport and learning.From Aussie Rules Football clinics to future-focused dialogue on identity and education, the event created space for meaningful exchange. For young people, it was a chance to explore holistic growth. For families, it provided insight into emerging global pathways.

Events like this build bridges that last — not just between countries, but between generations and ideas. We are proud to support initiatives that connect Australian and Chinese communities through shared experience and purpose.

A Life of Service, Across Borders

Sandra Li’s commitment to grassroots service is longstanding and personal. In 2007, she joined the Guangdong Lions Club to contribute more deeply to community initiatives. The following year, she was awarded the Annual Silver Lion in recognition of her outstanding contributions to social welfare and public good.

Sandra has also been a dedicated member of the Sydney Lions Club, actively fundraising for new club chapters and supporting chapter nights in both Sydney and Melbourne. Her role in fostering the sister-club relationship between Guangdong and Sydney Lions Clubs reflects her belief in service that crosses borders — and her dedication to turning civic leadership into real-world impact.

This ethos of purpose, connection and contribution is deeply embedded in AOYE Group’s values.
